Hola! Sorry, just can't lose my Punta Cana influence. Actually, I'm hanging on to it for dear life! My tan may fade but the inspiration....NEVER!
So here we are - it's the end of JUNE.
Hotter than Hades, here in Phoenix.
Lots of STUFF going on...kids are home, and I don't know about you, but just the grocery shopping, cooking, and clean up for my 3 teens is MIND. BOGGLING.
I've been focusing on doing something for my business everyday. And it is not easy... many times I'm tempted to 'put it off until tomorrow'...
But thank goodness I've set goals. Have you? It helps me soooo much.
Here are some things I've been doing -
Yesterday my goal was to email 10 clients. This is a personal email, not a blind, one-size-fits-all, bcc to everyone blast, but a thoughtful, specific, "I hope you're enjoying your Room Sprays that you bought in April" kind of email.
I attached the BBMB flyer and invited them to place an order before Monday, which is the date I've set for my next order so I can get THESE beauties (of which I've already gotten a few sold thanks to Facebook) -
Today I woke up with the goal to GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE and make a couple new friends, and lo and behold my favorite network marketing pro had this to say on the topic: click here to watch video
(I love it when the universe makes it so obvious what I need to do!)
Here's how I will 'increased my influence' in the immediate future.
1. I used to meet tons of people taking my kids places. It was pretty easy because I stayed and watched them do whatever (gymnastics, play in McDonalds playland, swim at the neighborhood pool, etc.). Since they've gotten older, it isn't necessary for me to stay and 'supervise' them, but I realized I'm missing out on a huge opportunity!
I now take Jenna and Trevor to archery, but have been doing the drop off. My goal this week is to STAY and TALK to the PEOPLE!
Also, when I take Trevor to cooking class, I will STAY and TALK to the PEOPLE, instead of go shopping. Voila, save money AND meet new people - a double whammy of goodness!
2. I used to go 'out' and take classes for my hobbies. For instance, scrapbooking classes and photography workshops were a big part of my life. For some reason, I haven't been doing this lately and I need to pick it up again. I have a new Annie Sloan Chalk Paint obsession and guess what? they offer workshops! I WILL be signing up for an upcoming one TODAY!
3. How many 'Events' have you been invited to via Facebook lately? I've been invited to 3 in the last 10 days alone, plus one Silpada party. And guess what? I didn't go - honestly, I am such a huge homebody, it is bordering on anti-social...I am going to force myself to GO! And have fun! And make new friends! Sit by someone I don't know. Talk to a stranger!
So, is this something you struggle with as well? What do you do to meet new people?
Spill the beans, people!!!
