Well, I've started this post about 100 times in my head and am not quite sure what to focus on so I think I'll just follow the vision of our leaders, Heidi and Orville, and write about Simplicity, Authenticity and Generosity, the core values of the Scentsy Family :)
I'll go out of order and start with Authenticity. I've struggled with this value since I found out the new brand was partly a jewelry line. As most of you know, I got my start in direct sales with another jewelry line. I loved that company with my heart and soul. I loved selling jewelry with my heart and soul. It was easy. It was fun. I was very successful (success being relative and all), had the Mercedes and thought I was going to do that for a very long time.
Well things change, situations change, companies change and economies change. That situation was no longer working for me and my family, I dabbled in a few other direct sales company, found wickless candles and off I went with Scentsy.
Now remember, Nique and I originally signed up with Scentsy to get the discount. We just loved the product so much and didn't want to pay retail. Nique SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME she was NOT going to start selling Scentsy.
But when I got the start-up kit in the mail, I was extrememly impressed with Scentsy THE COMPANY. And I told Nique that I thought it would be a really great idea to maybe entertain the possibility of selling Scentsy (my passive-aggressive way of telling her that I wanted 'us' to start selling it and make it a business).
And here we are, having a blast, with a great team, and trying to make it a full-time income.
We are in love with Scentsy THE COMPANY. Our planets are aligned. Our values are in sync. I'm staring at a sign that hangs in my office right now that says 'Peace, Love, Scentsy'.
All this after I swore I would never sell jewelry again. Which is where the Authenticity part comes in.
In my head, I'm telling myself 'but you swore you would never sell jewelry again' and 'look at you now, all swooning with excitement over this new brand'.
And I guess my answer to myself is this: I believe in SCENTSY. The things I was discouraged with before like shipping charges, credit card fees, misleading commission numbers, etc., are all non-issues with Scentsy.
And, COME ON, this jewelry is fabulous! And priced right (hello? you've seen prices on lines that start with 'S' or have the initials 'L.S.',) and I love that it is a SIMPLE line, in a few great colors and everything is coordinated with everything else! Talk about SIMPLICITY! What a wonderful idea, really!
All the jewelry is nickel-free and non toxic, complying with even the strictest California EPA laws!
And lets talk about Generosity! First of all, over 11,000 convention attendees received over $200 worth over Grace Adele products!
The Starter Kit has over $200 worth of product plus over $100 in business start up tools included. And the starter kit WILL NOT have any of the product that was given away at the convention, so you don't have to worry that you'll get what you already have!
There will be jewelry 'bundles' available (special pricing on jewelry sets from same collection) - check those out on your workstation as they won't be advertised in this catalog.
Hostess credits (paid out by Scentsy, not out of your commission) can be applied to any/all items in the catalog which means you can get one of the luxury leather bags (regular retail $200) for only $100!!! All the items in the catalog can be purchased with Hostess credits! YAY!
Your Grace Adele website is free for the first 3 months, and if you already have another Scentsy Family website (Scentsy Fragrance or Velata) then it is only $5 additional per month.
So if you're asking yourself if you should sign up to sell the new Grace Adele brand here is our advice:
1. Every brand has it's pros and cons.
2. You can still recruit people that want to sell Grace Adele even if you are not selling Grace Adele (we're all under the Scentsy Family umbrella).
3. If you sell what you love, it is MUCH easier to be successful and you will be able to get through the tough times and rejection much easier (because there will ALWAYS be tough times and rejection).
4. Even if you don't think you know fashion or style, you can still successfully sell Grace Adele because it is such a simple 'Style System' (and plus, Niq and I can help you....we're pretty good at it!)
OK, so there you have it. You can sign up August 1st at NOON. Yep, I will be sitting on my computer keyboard at 11:55 READY TO GO!!! I'm pretty sure Nique is planning her lunch hour at work around this ground-breaking event as well :)
