Just wanted to put up a quick, easy thing I did at my Open House in May that made a huge difference.
When you host your OWN Open House, you are not only the Scentsy Consultant, but you are the Host, the Greeter, the Caterer, and just generally trying to do it all. When it's over I always feel like I didn't get everyone to experience everything the Open House had to offer, especially making sure everyone fills out the raffle sheet (and since this asks them about doing a party, it is NUMERO UNO on the priority list!) Have you gotten this overwhelmed feeling at your Open House?
At this particular Open House I had several 'Stations' set up around my living/kitchen area to showcase the different Scentsy products that are now available.
For instance I set up a selection of warmers on my dining table (a few full-size, a few mid-size and some plug ins) and with that I had my 'Buy Now' selection of Scentsy Bars.
(Don't hate me because I didn't take a pic of MY display!)
Then on another table I set up a few of my Scentsy Layers products (I have one of each) along with the Layers brochure.
(Again, no with the hatin')!
Of course in my kitchen I had Velata going (one warmer) with all the dippers and such.
(Well, this is the EXACT version of my Velata warmer, and I did have
strawberries, but my marshmallows were MINI, OK?)
I had the Scent Samples set up on my coffee table.
And on a chest in my family room I had the 'Win Free Scentsy' drawing slips, fish bowl, and pens so people could fill out the slips and enter the drawing. (This is VERY IMPORTANT! You are wasting your day if you are not having guests fill these out! Click here to see the sheet I used. I just cut it into fourths - super easy) Download Raffle sheet
(Sorry to whoever I stole this picture from...*as I look down in humiliation*)
I also had Scentsy catalogs, WOTM flyers, Velata Catalogs, order forms for each, and Join brochures that I wanted to make sure everyone got as well. Phew! I definitely needed to organize this stuff so it wouldn't seem overwhelming to my guests!
So the first thing I did was get out my trusty, super-cute, uber-heavy duty, tool of choice -
A ZIP-LOC BAG
and started loading it with all the paper goodies and then put those in a basket with a cup o pens.
(Yay! This one is straight out of my camera!!!)
Then I just made a sticker on a 2 x 4 inch shipping label that had a check list for each thing I wanted to make sure each guest did. (Your 'stations' may vary... and I definitely don't do this at every party! But since it is my house I had lots of time to prep.)
PS. Did you notice the little stickers on the front of the red bin and the cup. I put these stickers EVERYWHERE around my house and also had Smartie candies laying around all over. The stickers say "BE A SMARTY - HOST A PARTY!" Always be planting that seed!
